I see that MS SQL Server is the only database currently supported. Will you be adding MySQL in version 5?
Any approximate timeline for v5 release?

If I will not encounter any problems during implementation, it will be included in version 5. Otherwise I will add it a little later in some minor version of version 5.
I want to release version 5 this year. So far it seems I could manage it.
When I first installed I was able to print to a local printer. However, after shutting down the program the first time and restarting, I no longer see printers listed when I attempt to print. I've rebooted and notice that none of my other programs have this issue. I've been printing from Outlook, Acrobat, etc. with no issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. (There appears to be no way to search your Forum to see if anyone else has had this issue. Search capability would be great here.)

For any of you running a file integrity security suite, like Comodo, running SoftwareIdeasModeler in a limited mode will certainly limit its ability to see printers/faxes and to be able to cut/copy/paste and who knows what other Windows services. I had made an attempt to turn off the Comodo suite, but this component was still active.
Hence, I found my issue and no longer need assistance.

I answer to your question about forum. I plan to completely change this forum. There will be also search and other improvements that will lead to better usability. But is will be probably at the beginning of year 2012. Current priorities are:
1) Bug fixes for 4.x
2) Finish new major version - 5
3) Improve this web site (including this forum)
Also notice that I cannot copy/paste text in the Documentation tab for widgets. Wonder if this is a design decision or whether I've got some COM interface issue that's keeping me from this and printing.

Unfortunately, it is not possible in version 4.x, but it will be one of new features in version 5.

I want to create an alt fragment and divide it in several options in a sequence diagram. But I don't know if I can do it and, in each part, write a conditional sentence to go in.
1. Drag Interaction operand from toolbox to the Alt fragment
2. Click using right mouse button on inserted interaction operand and from context menu choose Properties. Properties dialog will be open. In this dialog, choose Interaction Operand tab and type condition in Guard Condition field.

Hi, I need to show optional participation (dotted line), how can I do that?
There are multiple notations of ERD with many modifications. Software Ideas Modeler uses basic Crow's Foot Notation.
Optional participation is expressed using 0..1 or 0..n relations. You can insert such relation directly from toolbox or change the multiplicity from Item Properties dialog (context menu/Properties -> Relationship tab -> Start multiplicity or End multiplicity)
Hi... I am using your software for the designing of the project diagrams. It works great but i am having some difficulties with the designing. it is very difficult to adjust the line in the DFDs. when I open saved file some of the fields are automatically vanished and the data flow arrows are disturbed. So will you tell me the solution of the problem??

It seems as if models end up in the order they are added in the project (right) pane?
It would be nice if it would be possible to reorder the models manually to group them in any preferred manner
