Menu/Ribbon Items Customization

This tutorial provides instructions for modifying the menu and ribbon items in Software Ideas Modeler. The article covers topics such as adding and removing items from the menu or ribbon, rearranging the order of items, and creating custom menus and ribbons.

You can access the menu and ribbon customization editor from the Options dialog (Ribbon/File/Options or Menu/Tools/Options).

The feature is available only from the Professional edition.

In the Options dialog, under the Ribbon and Menu sections, there is a customization editor that allows you to customize the appearance and behavior of the menu and ribbon in the Software Ideas Modeler.

The customization editor has a grouped list of all available actions on the left and a hierarchical tree of the current menu or ribbon items on the right. (Menus, submenus, and items are in the tree in the Menu section, and tabs, groups, and items in the Ribbon section.) The tree has checkboxes that allow you to show or hide each node.

Under the ribbon/menu tree, there is a section for shortcut keys. The current shortcut key, if any, is displayed, and you can enter a new shortcut key in the designated text box - called New. You can also remove any existing shortcut keys by clicking on the X button.

The customization editor also has up and down arrow buttons that allow you to change the order of the menu and ribbon items.

The editor has several buttons that allow you to add, remove, and reset items in the menu and ribbon. The "Add Special" button allows you to add new tabs, groups, separators and wraps to the menu or ribbon. The "Add >" and "< Remove" buttons allow you to add and remove items from the menu or ribbon. The "Reset to Defaults" button allows you to restore the menu and ribbon to their default settings. And the "Reset Shortcut Keys" button allows you to reset all shortcut keys to their default values.

With these tools, you can easily customize the appearance and behavior of the menu and ribbon in the Software Ideas Modeler to suit your individual needs.
