File menu contains these items: New, Open, Save, Save As, Export, Export to PDF, Recent Projects and Exit.
New
creates new empty project and opens it in new window.
Key Shortcut: CTRL-N
Open
loads an existing project from .simp (Software Ideas Modeler Project) file and opens it in new window.
Key Shortcut: CTRL-O
Save
Saves permanently current project in .simp file. If no file is specified for the project, the save dialog is shown.
Key Shortcut: CTRL-S
Save As
Saves permanently current project to another .simp file.
Export
Exports the current diagram (diagram in active window) to one of the various image formats. Supported formats are WMF (Windows Meta File), EMF (Enhanced Meta File) and PNG (Portable Network Graphic).
Export to PDF
Exports the current diagram (diagram in active window) to PDF (Portable Document Format) file.
Recent Projects
Shows the submenu with list of recent projects.
Exit
Closes the current application window.
