Waterfall model is a linear sequential way of software development.

Waterfall methodology of project management consists of several phases: Requirements, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Verification, and Operations. There are several variations of this approach. In general, it is not very much flexible.

  • Requirements - requirements document
  • Analysis - models, business rules
  • Design - software architecture
  • Implementation - code, coding, integration, proving
  • Verification - testing report, testing, debugging
  • Operations - user manual, installation, support, migration, maintenance
