Error in Download (#34)
I had a bug that the computer people said could only be fixed by reinstalling all my software. This has been done, but Software Ideas will not load. I get an error message "Loading of localization file 'C:\Program Files\SoftwareIdeasModeler\Data\Languages\en\language.resx' failed".
What must I do to download the program?

I have manually removed the language\en file and tried to download the program again (several times) without success. The same error report is presented when I try to run the program. What can I do now?

If you unpack this package (http://www.softwareideas.net/Download/158/Software-Ideas-Modeler--v-5-07----ZIP-Package) to your disk (for example on desktop) and open SoftwareIdeasModeler.exe from this directory with unpacked files, does it work for you?

HiDuĊĦan - I was unable to get the program to run and called in our computer support firm. They have tried to follow your advice (to copy from the ZIP program) but have not succeeded. The same error relating to the Language setup keeps recurring.

Hi. That's very strange. I can reproduce this problem only if I fill Language.resx file with random data.
1) Please, try version 5.10.

If it doesn't work, please, try change destination location to 'C:\Program Files\SoftwareIdeasModeler5' in the step of setup called Select Destination Location.
2) If you try an older version from 4.x branch - for example 4.104:

It seems that .NET Framework 3.5 is missing in your system. You have probably an older version.

I have downloaded the (very large) file as suggested. Unfortunately I still get the error message. I am sure the computer company has lost some kind of file during their repair process and that no normal computer would have this trouble. I have never had problems before. Is there anything else I can try. I use the Software Ideas Modeler frequently and would be really sorry if I couldn't get it back.

The exception message, which you sent me last time {System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Void System.Xml.XmlReaderSettings.set_MaxCharactersFromEntities(Int64)}
points to some missing parts in .NET Framework libraries. I think that it is caused by an older version of .NET framework. But it is strange, that the installation of new .NET framework, I sent you, didn't solve the problem.
Would you please check the version of .NET, whether the version 3.5 was successfully installed? You can check registry on your PC by these instructions:

We tried multiple versions of .NET to see if we could find one which worked. However, eventually we decided to re-install Windows. The problem is now resolved. Many thanks for your advice and support.

Please, check whether the file 'C:\Program Files\SoftwareIdeasModeler\Data\Languages\en\language.resx' exists.
If the file is missing, you can copy the file from this package: http://www.softwareideas.net/Download/158/Software-Ideas-Modeler--v-5-07----ZIP-Package
But I recommend you uninstall Software Ideas Modeler, check whether directory 'C:\Program Files\SoftwareIdeasModeler' exists after uninstalling. If so, delete it manually.
Then install Software Ideas Modeler from Setup file: http://www.softwareideas.net/Download/157/Software-Ideas-Modeler--v-5-07----Setup
