Open model from SharePoint (#342)

We use a SharePoint document library to stroe our SWIM documents. To edit a document, I first need to download a local copy, edit the local copy, and then manually upload it back to the document library.

It would be great if I could just open the document from SharePoint, just like I can with office documents. SWIM should be able to read documents directly from a document library, and should offer checkin / checkout commands.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will analyze it and add it in one of next versions, if it will be possible.

Hello Hubert,

Software Ideas Modeler supports reading/writing files directly from/to the SharePoint server. Connection to the server needs to be set -the settings are available in File menu/Options - SharePoint tab.

It is possible to try the complete funcionality after downloading the software (http://www.softwareideas.net/en/download) using the trial license - http://license.softwareideas.net/trialrequest/.
