This option (an also other options in Element menu) is applied only on selected entities.

I can change this behavior in the one of next version so that the program will apply the chosen option to all elements in diagram, when nothing is selected.

I agree, it would be clearer if this on all elements

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I am referring to the option under tools/options/Diagram Editor/Show Nulability which does not sort the desired effect.

This setting works only for newly created elements. The existing elements are not affected with this setting. (Program allows different setting for each element.) Also Attribute Visibility setting and Operation Visibility setting determinate what visibility will be used for new attributes and operations.

If you want to change nullability of all elements in diagram, you can select all elements (CTRL-A) and then choose the option from menu Element / Show Parts / Show Nullability.

I see the error of my way now. The bug I reported does not exist but is solely based on my misconception of the working of the software.

You can close this issue.

Anyway, I will try to bring some improvements in this area in one of next versions.
