Adding Lanes to Pools in BPMN Collaboration

Support

Hi,

How do you add lanes to a pool in a BPMN collaboration diagram?

I want to get this: https://i.imgur.com/IIWpeOV.png

but I keep ending up with this: https://i.imgur.com/SXvoH14.png

Hi,

After adding the first lane please select its parent pool again and then click on Add Lane button in the context bar.

Adding existing lanes to a pool

Hi Dusan,

I'd like to drag and add an existing lane (defined in a different diagram) to a pool. I dragged the lane from the hierarchical view into the pool and it was added correctly. But when I try to do the same thing again with another pre-defined lane (i.e a second time), I get https://i.imgur.com/SXvoH14.png

event though the pool gets highlighted as the target of the drag.

I know I can add new lanes by clicking the plus button from the context menu, but how do I add an existing lane to pool? Could this be a bug?

Thanks

RE: Adding existing lanes to a pool

Hi,

This behavior will be improved in the next release. However you can make it work this way even now:

Open File/Options - open Diagram Editor tab - in 'Container' group, choose Add to container - When cursor over container.

Now you can drop a lane to a pool when you drag it so that the cursor is over the pool name.
