Diagram (Ribbon Tab)

Diagram ribbon tab provides actions for editing diagram properties, managing layers, filtering diagram content, setting its format and also tools for further processing.

Editing Group

Editing Group provides actions for changing diagram properties. It also helps you to change the diagram to something else.

Diagram Properties... - Opens the Diagram Properties dialog, which allows you to set the name, custom namespace, authors, version, description and documentation of the current active diagram. Diagram Properties dialog contains also the read-only information about creation date and date of last change.

Show Element Parts - Sets which parts (e.g. custom IDs, parent name, stereotypes, etc.) should be displayed and which hidden. Individual settings of elements can override this default setting. Some part settings don't need to be applied on some types of elements.

Duplicate Diagram... - Show Duplicate Diagram dialog, which allows you to specify the kind of the copy (independent/shared model), name prefixes and suffixes and also to create relationship diagram between original and the new duplicated diagram.

Split Diagram - Splits the active diagram to multiple diagrams so that a new diagram will be created for each separate graph.

Add All Relationships By Model - Adds all mising relationships defined in the model to the active diagram.

Convert Diagram - Converts the active diagram and its elements to another kind.

Process Group

Process Group offers actions for further processing of diagram. You can print an active diagram, export it to various graphical formats or copy it to the clipboard.

Print - Prints the active diagram.

Export - Exports the active diagram to various image formats.

Copy - Copies the active diagram to the clipboard.

Layers Group

Layers Group offers actions for handling the layers in the active diagram. Each diagram can consist of several layers, which are rendered one by one. Each layer can contain elements. The layer can be hidden, locked or deleted. So you can manipulate many relative elements at once.

Add Layer - Adds a new layer into the active diagram.

Layers - Shows a list of layers of the active diagram. It allows you to activate another layer.

Hide Layer - Hides the active layer in the active diagram.

Delete Layer - Deletes the active layer in the active diagram.

Merge Layers - Merges all layers in the active diagram to a single layer.

Show All Layers - Makes visible all layers in the active diagram.

Filter Group

Filter Group gathers actions for diagram filtering – showing and hiding elements by defined rules. It offers few common filters. If you want to display all elements, you can cancel the filter.

Create New Filter - Shows a dialog which allows you to create and apply a new filter with custom rules to the active diagram.

Filters - Shows a list of filters which can be applied to the active diagram.

Show All Elements - Removes the filter. All elements will be shown.

Hide Comments - Applies the filter to the active diagram which hides all comments and comment connectors.

Hide Relations - Applies the filter to the active diagram which hides all relationships.

Hide Collaborations - Applies the filter to the active diagram which hides all collaboration elements.

Page Setup Group

Page Setup Group provides options for diagram page size and its visualization.

Diagram Size - Shows a dialog which allows you to set a custom size for the active diagram.

Orientation - Shows a submenu where you can change the orientation of the active diagram to landscape or portrait.

Auto Expand In All Direction - Turns on/off automatic expansion of diagram bounds in all directions.

Auto Expand Right Down - Turns on/off automatic expansion of diagram bounds in right down directions. Negative coordinates are not allowed.

Multiple Pages - Turns on/off automatic expansion of diagram bounds to another pages. If Multiple Pages are turned on, new pages are automatically added in vertical and also horizontal direction to cover all diagram elements.

Show Borders - Shows or hides diagram borders.

Show Paper - Turns on/off rendering of the diagram background.

Filter group definitions are wrong

Hide Comments should be:

Applies the filter to the active diagram, which hides all

comments and their connector lines.

Hide Relations should be:

Applies the filter which hides all relationship elements

in the active diagram.

Hide Collaborations should be:

Applies the filter which hides all collaboration

elements in the active diagram.
