Drag actors to use case

Dear Dušan,

I'm triying the latest release of Software Ideas Modeler (101).

It seems that dragging actors from the project tree to a use case in the diagram doesn't create the lines that "link" the actors to the use case.

Please, don't hesitate to contact me if I can help to debug this.

Thank you for your great work and patience.

Best regards,

Manu.

RE: Drag actors to use case

Hello,

these lines have to be added manually - so you have to drag them from the project tree, too.

In one of next versions, I will improve it to work automatically.

Pin does no longe attach to action

In the latest release, pins in activity diagrams no longer glues to an action. Wherever I drop a pin it remains an unattached object.

RE: Pin does no longe attach to action

Please, try this hot fix:

http://www.softwareideas.net/SoftwareIdeasModeler.4.101HotFix.zip

It will be included in the next release (4.102).

RE: Generate pdf doc bug

I'll need more time for this fix. It's Mono/Linux specific problem. It will be fixed in version 5.

Reproduceable:

1. create a diagram

2. File -> Print

3. page settings

4. landscape -> ok

5. print

result:

And additionally the border will be cutted on the right if it's too wide.

deathline 18 August 2011 4:50:35

RE: export to svg

Only one character dont export, using space enough solution.

RE: RE: export to svg

I'll fix it in the next release - 4.100

When you're working in a dialog, the Escape key is much too easy to hit and lose a lot of work. For example, I'm working in a class diagram, selected Properties, and have added three attributes, including their respective documentation, then accidentally hit Escape. The Properties dialog goes away, along with the work I just did. The expected behavior would be to prompt me as to whether I really wanted to close the dialog and lose my work.

Great product, nice to see it getting tightened up!

Dusan Rodina - softwareideas.net 16 August 2011 14:25:14

RE:

Thank you!

I'll add the prompt in the next release.

EDIT: Implemented in version 4.100.

can not use line tool

When using a class diagram, if you drag a Drawing-Line icon to the canvas, it will appear. However, if you try to change the size of the line it will not adjust.

Dusan Rodina - softwareideas.net 5 August 2011 11:10:09

RE: can not use line tool

You can adjust start and end point of the line - move mouse cursor to start (or end) of the line and when the cursor changes to cross, drag the point to new position.

Anyway, thank you for the notice. I'll fix changing the size of the line using grips soon.

RE: RE: can not use line tool

Ahh, I see. I was grabbing the gray dot and not the black cross hair. Ok Thanks
