Software Ideas Modeler 15.30 – Smarter Layouts, Better UI, and Enhanced Documentation
Enhanced Quick Diagrams
Creating diagrams is now faster and more intuitive thanks to improvements in the Quick Diagram feature. You can use new options like Specific Box/Connector and Last Used Box/Connector, which significantly speed up repetitive modeling tasks and reduce the need for constant tool switching.
Additionally, whenever you create a new type of element in the diagram, it is automatically added to the toolbox, allowing you to insert it again instantly without searching through the full element selection dialog.
Improved Snaplines in Complex Scenarios
Snaplines have been further refined to behave more reliably even in dense and complex diagrams. This ensures precise alignment across multiple elements and helps maintain clean, professional layouts without extra manual adjustments.
New “Add into Container” Workflow
A new context menu action “Add into Container” introduces a more streamlined way to organize elements within containers. Combined with a redesigned layout behavior, this makes structuring diagrams more efficient and predictable.
Smarter Layouts for Wireframes and Funnels
Basic smart layout has been refined and optimized especially for wireframe diagrams, improving automatic arrangement of UI elements. Additionally, vertical and horizontal funnel layouts have been enhanced, offering better visual clarity for process and flow modeling.
Refined User Interface Visual Style
This version delivers a noticeable visual refresh across the application. Updates include a redesigned tree view, improved menus and list selections, and a more polished settings panel.
Extended Support for UI Elements
Breadcrumb elements are now supported in User Interface Diagrams, along with auto-size functionality for Breadcrumb and Button Group elements. Auto-sizing has also been extended to labeled elements such as UML Decision, Merge, Initial/Final State, Flow Final, History, and Entry/Exit Point, ensuring better adaptability and cleaner visuals.
Enhanced Interactive Documentation
Interactive documentation generation has been expanded with several powerful additions. A new Glossary section helps organize terminology, while support for Styles allows more customization of generated outputs. A new pack of 5 predefined styles is also included, making it easier to create visually appealing documentation.
Stability and Reliability Improvements
This release resolves several issues affecting stability and usability. Crashes related to sequence diagram fragments, stereotype editing, and invalid element dimensions have been fixed. Improvements were also made to undo behavior when working with containers and to UI interactions such as combo box selection. Additionally, incorrect links in generated documentation have been corrected.
