DFD request

Hi. I too would like to say "thank you" and congratulate you on an impressive piece of software.

I'd also like to see Gane & Sarsen notation added as an option to DFD diagrams.

Useful, simple and quite powerful. I`m waiting for next versions!

And I`d like to know, is it planned to add feature of building diagrams from java, C++ code? :)

suggestion

When you click on a class properties, the default text field should be the class name - not the class ID. I often drag a class out, move it some, and then right click properties to name it. Its odd that the id would be the default. I would think the name would be the most common to thing to change.

What do you do with the class ID anyway?

Thank you for your suggestion. I will change it in the next version.

Some software analysts use these IDs as shorter alphanumeric alternative to name, especially in documentation. You can also display it in the diagram when you check menu item Element/Show ID.

EDIT: Implemented in version 4.100.

SQL DDL

Hi,

Thank you for a wonderful tool.

It would be great if the ERD / SQL DDL supported Identity columns (Auto number) and generated the relationships / foreign keys correctly.

Transitions in timing diagrams?

Hello Dušan Rodina,

Thank you very much for this excellent product! I'm still a university student, but I plan to buy the commercial version when I graduate next year.

The two features that I would like to see would be:

1. (Important) Better transitions in the timing diagrams - I need this to model analog inputs for my systems. Such inputs do not change instantaneously from one state to another. The duration of the transition (for example, in milliseconds) is usually known, however.

2. (Not as important) Ability to rearrange the windows/tabs on the right side to wherever I want them (similar to Visual Studio).

Justification(typesetting)

Most of times i need justificaiton like below link(Justified (flush left and right)) about comment description , i cant find it , adding this will be good.

Can we please have search function for Forum and H

Just stated using the tool. Very easy to get going.

But, when I look for help, I am less happy.

No search for Help. And no search for Forum.

Surely, such a simple but essential part of the website.

I apologize for this inconvenience. I will try to add search feature very soon. I confess that I underestimated the importance of this feature on the website and I focused only on the software.

The help and user guide is the "Achilles heel" of this project, but it will change very soon. I am finishing the user guide for the Software Ideas Modeler. I will publish it most likely within a week.
